I grew up with a bishon-poodle mix. I always had a passion for animals and realised early on that it wasn't only for domestic! I continued to college to complete my technical three year intensive DEC in Environmental & Wildlife Management.
I am an outdoor enthusiast and take every opportunity to be out hiking (plenty of nearby trails), or be at the dog park. Exercise and fun will come in abundance! I would like to specify that when I have other dogs in my care, I always keep them leashed in the open, and I go to the nearby fenced in dog park (if the dogs are comfortable at parks). Safety first. All within a five minute drive, I have two dog parks, a marina and shoreline, walking trails, and a sorbet house that serves dog friendly gelato. Of course, for those animals that have less mobility, I will enjoy just as much relaxing and spending quality resting time with dog company! I am comfortable giving oral medication.
I adopted a beautiful boxer mix a year ago, and underwent all the training myself - I was fortunate she was so eager to learn! My training is a daily lifestyle that involves positive reinforcement and rewarding with toys and my pups daily kibble portion. This is all through games! I have a whole library of hundreds of games for everything! Whatever you want, there is a game for that! This ranges from calmess, distractions, focus, obedience, recall, arousal up arousal down, relationship boost and everything in between. I would be more than happy to include your furbaby in my daily training, and you can ask for me to focus on something in particular! Please keep in mind that no training is permanent and perfected with only a day or two of training. I will be more than happy to share my recommended 3 minute training games with you though to continue! I look forward to meeting your pet!
For dog walking services, I offer twenty minute walks - up to two on weekends, and one in the evening during the week. My dog will always be included which can offer positive socialization. Due to her recovering seperation anxiety, I try to never leave her alone unless necessary. I work full time during the week and this is why I typically only board/sit during the weekend and Fridays.
I live in a very dog friendly two bedroom apartment with my animal loving boyfriend and 59 lb dog. Animal guests are more than welcome to sleep anywhere in our home including with us in bed, on any furniture, or a crate if that is preferred by the dog. Our apartment has an outdoor fenced in secure dog pen to socialize with other dogs in the building or if they prefer doing their business offleash. For exercise purposes, I prefer visiting local dog parks or going for long walks if my dog guests are capable of these activities.
Finally, I would like to clarify that under no circumstances will I host an animal that is prone to attacking other dogs. I sympathize with dog owners and understand there are some dogs that aren't vicious but merely scared or anxious around other dogs that can lead to attacks in a fight or flight response. But for the safety of your dog as well as my own, I do not want to offer a stressful or dangerous environment.
