Let me start by saying I already love your cat!!!! :D I am a huge animal & plant lover, and have had pets & plants all my life. Cats in particular have always held a very special place in my heart, and I am definitely a "crazy cat lady" lol. I have shared most of my life with cats, have fostered and rescued strays, and am a little obsessed with understanding cat behaviour and nutrition. As a cat sitter, I bring all my amazing knowledge (and toys/brushes!) to your home to spoil your fur babies while you enjoy your trip worry-free :) My focus is to provide fun, interactive, and stress-reducing visits for you fur, leaf, or scale family, with lots of updates, pics, and vids for you! :)

I am an established, reliable, and dedicated sitter, on Pawshake now for approximately 4 years of stellar service, (reflected in my numerous reviews that you can check out any time), but I have been the "go-to" pet sitter for my family, friends, and acquaintances for MANY years.

I do 1-hour visits (unlike “drop-in” services that are only about 15-30 minutes). This gives me time to make sure everything is changed/cleaned, topped up, AND that your cat gets loooooots of play time and positive interaction. This is so important for their mental and physical health because it helps them feel less stressed and still cared for and entertained while everyone is away! You will find that my pet sitting service always goes above and beyond, and your pets and home will always be very well taken care of.

I currently live with 3 adult cats (all rescues), 4 geckos, a fully planted fish tank, various invertebrate feeder colonies for my tribe, and an ever-evolving indoor jungle of tropical, succulent, and fruit-bearing plants. (I also propagate and sell plants and have a dedicated plant room!). Because all of my cats have some degree of complex medical and emotional needs, I've acquired more knowledge and resources than your average person on feline nutrition, digestion, anxiety, body language, problem behaviours, allergies, and managing feline diabetes. In my efforts to ensure MY fuzz-butts get the best care possible, and live their best lives, I now have specialized knowledge for cat-sitting cats who benefit from any kind of extra attention: whether it’s because they are very social/human-bonded and love attention, or if they are anxious/fearful and need those extra care tactics to reduce their stress. And while I LOOOOVE cuddly playful cats, I do specialize in anxious, fearful, and complex-needs felines :) I'm used to different diet requirements for multiple cats in one household, giving various oral and sub-dermal medication to cats (including insulin), and am comfortable taking blood sugar readings to non-spicy kitties. If your fur baby is “a bit extra,” or needs medication during cat-sits, or you have multiple cats eating different foods: I've got you!

WHAT YOU GET:

--visits are approximately 60 minutes (unless otherwise arranged). Additional time can be added at $25/hr, up to 3hrs/day.

--food & water bowls washed & refilled fresh each feeding or day

--medication administration if needed

--litter scooping each visit and topping up as needed

--sweep around litter/food areas, & general floor spot cleaning (as needed)

--garbage removal (as needed-you will not come home to a stinky home!!! Haha)

--**ACTIVE & INTERACTIVE PLAY TIME** (minimum 30 minutes/day) I bring my own cat toys! :)

--brushing (if appropriate) I bring various brushes for you cat to pick their favourites! :)

--as many cuddles/pets as allowed by cat :)

--close monitoring for any physical/behavioural changes or potential issues

--plant watering & maintenance, and other animals feeding if/as needed

--mail pick up

--one free Meet & Greet (approx 1hr) to make sure we’re a good fit, get all your cat care info, and pick up your keys for cat sit

PLEASE NOTE:

1. All cat claws must be trimmed as short as possible-to just before the quick-or capped with nail caps 1-2 days before cat sits start for the safety of your cat(s) and your sitter. This is a non-negotiable requirement to prevent avoidable injuries in all possible scenarios. [In the unlikely event of an emergency, your cat may be frightened and/or aggressive/defensive, but I will need to be able to approach them quickly and SAFELY to help them. This precaution also keeps their little nails and fingers safe from accidental snagging and/or wrenching free during regular playtimes and interactions during every cat sit, and keeps ME safe from accidental scrapes and scratches during vigorous or close quarters play :)].

2. All pet interactions will be positive and Fear-Free focused! I do not employ any kinds of punishment!

RATES

All prices include: 1 free Meet & Greet (to get all pet care info, make sure we're a good fit, and grab any keys needed before first cat sit), all travel time, gas*, plant watering, fish feeding, garbage removal, home cleaning maintenance, and mail pickups.

(Please be aware that PAWSHAKE takes 20% of sitter earnings as their fee from all sitters' posted rates)

*All visits 25+min drive will have a +$3/visit added for extra gas/time (I live Northeast in Beverly Heights).

1-Hour Visit - best for 1 cat/animal

2-Hour Visit - Best for 1 - 3 Animals who LOVE attention :)

1. $60/visit, 1x/day, 1-5 days in a row.

2. $63visit, 1x/day, 6+ days in a row.

3-Hour Visit - Book under HOUSE SITTING - best for very social animals, and 4+ cats/animals.

Bare Bones Visit (20-30 min) - covers basic feeding/watering only.

1. $28/visit (please ask for this if needed)

PLEASE NOTE: because the Pawshake app unfortunately doesn’t have the option to set multiple services and fees, there may be small final fee adjustments that will be discussed during the "Booking Inquiry" phase for bookings running over 5 consecutive days, or for bookings farther than 25min away, as listed above :). I apologize for the inconvenience and hope Pawshake will offer these options soon.

LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS: An in-person Meet & Greet is required before commencing my services for the first time for you :) because of this, there will be a $20 last minute booking fee if booking less than 48hrs in advance.

Cancellation Policies (made by Pawshake):

Moderate: 100% refund 7+ days notice, 50% refund <7 days notice, no refund once first booking day starts.

MORE ABOUT ME:

I am 41 and am a "social introvert" :) I like plants, sci fi, artsy/crafty things, moody maximalism, and, of course, CATS! Lol

My 3 cats, Jasper, Rex, and Bear, range between 7 - 13 years old. My oldest boy Jasper is fairly high needs (severe food allergies, environmental allergies, PICA, picky eater, diabetes [in remission], and high anxiety). He's also my soul mate and we are each other's "security blankets" lol. He loves belly rubs and playing fetch! Rex is a Snowshoe Siamese, he’s a very good boi, but sheds like a husky XD. All Rex wants is love. And violence. Love and violence. He now has a designated "Box of Violence" where I help him exercise his violence productively on kick toys instead of his roommates :). Bear is my youngest-a very happy (but not too bright) rescue from a hoarding situation. He's sadly inbred AF and probably has 1/2 a brain cell, but is sweet as can be and lives his best life. He was the only kitten to survive from his litter and has a grade 3 heart murmur and some pretty severe dental and constipation/digestion issues. He wasn't supposed to live past 2, but he just turned 7 in November! :D

My geckos are female Leos, and live communally in a very large fully planted bioactive terrarium. My fully planted freshwater aquarium usually sports female bettas, shrimp, snails, and a very orange bristle nose pleco, but I’m currently in transition with fish tank sizes, so no bettas right now.

In the past I’ve also owned corn snakes, hamsters, more geckos, aquatic frogs, a rabbit, and-of course-more cats! Lol Occasionally throughout my life I've done rescue/rehab for various animals (cats, reptiles, a few amphibians, rodents, birds, and even a spider!), and I’ve fostered cats and kittens for approximately 2.5 years.

I have a lot of crafty and artsy hobbies, I love art and making new things, and I love to meet new animals!! :)
