Hello, fellow animal lovers,
My name is Christine I live downtown Hamilton close to York Blvd and Locke St. I am offering services for both dog and cat visitation, medication administration, dog walking and dog sitting in your home.
I am available 7 days a week, dog walks are usually an hour ( unless extreme weather)
I pet sit in your home and sleep over for dogs.
Cats are once or twice a day visits for 30 minutes. However I am flexible and am willing to accommodate my clients needs.
A little about me... I am retired from my career in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery I was in that field for 25 years. Now I am dedicating all my time to animals. I love all creatures big and small.
I grew up with pets my whole life. My first cat was a grey Persian named Puffy and our dog named Smokey was a Newfoundland breed our second dog was also a Newfoundland. I have also had fish, aquatic frogs, hamsters, birds and a beautiful rescue Tortoiseshell cat name Molly. Unfortunately this past September she went over the rainbow bridge. She was 20 years old. Since then we have a new addiction to our family. We adopted Mochi from the Guelph Humane Society. He is a Manx mix black kitten. He’s been a wonderful addition. He is sweet, energetic, cuddly and affectionate.
So far I have taken care of puppies, senior dogs, dogs with special dietary needs, rabbits, cats, parrots, chickens and a rooster. I am open to learning as I said I really do enjoy all animals equally.
I rescued my first dog 10 years ago. He’s the handsome fella in the pictures, Rocco. When I first got him he was 3 and had never been for a walk. I vowed he would get his walk every day. He was severely abused and neglected he was also a wreck emotionally as well as physically. It took me about a year of hard work and training to get him to overcome his trauma. I had to retrain him as if he was a puppy. I taught him how to walk properly on a leash, taught him to trust humans again along with many other behavioural and health issues.
With lots of love, patience, encouragement and training and some surgery for a cyst and cherry eye and neutering he overcame his past and blossomed into the most loyal, snuggly, trusting little guy who loved unconditionally!
Unfortunately, he got untreatable cancer and went to over the rainbow bridge in October 2018. But he was able to enjoy his walks right up to the end.
I know I will rescue another dog in my future, but for now, I am missing our walks and dog love. That is why I want to walk your dog, feed them, give them fresh water and if they love belly rubs, they are definitely included. I will shower your pet with attention.
I have had to give medication to both cats and dogs successfully. Including injections.
I offer dog walks once a day or several times a day.
I can go for long walks or take them to a park it depends on your preference.
I am very flexible with my hours and availability.
I have done dog sitting for ongoing clients for the past 6 years. Although I am located downtown I do have a vehicle and can travel out of my area for an additional fee. It would depend on your location.
I do require a meet and greet, it’s beneficial for all of us to make sure we are a good match I think it’s important for me to meet your pet and get information on your pets background, find out if there’s any health concerns, and or special preferences. And any other information you deem important the more I know the better I will understand your pets needs and likes and dislikes. I understand each pet is unique and that is what makes them so endearing to us.
I am bonded and have references upon request. I also am certified in dog and cat CPR and First Aid.
Excellent cat sitter, very conscientious, kind and considerate.
Absolutely fantastic experience - highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.
