Hi, I'm Laurie and I live in mid-town Toronto. I'm new to Pawshake but not to taking care of beloved family pets. If you choose me as your sitter, I'll bring my 38 years of dog and cat ownership, plus experience caring for neighbour and friends pets, to making sure your pet remains happy and healthy in your absence. I've owned 3 dogs and 5 cats (and counting) including rescues of all ages, sizes and stages. I currently share my home with 2 pets - Luna, an 8 1/2 year old German Shepherd and Shyana, a 13 year old diabetic Domestic Short Hair adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.

While I primarily care for cats, I also offer doggy drop-in visits with optional short round-the-block walks, or senior or puppy potty breaks, and can assist with special and/or short term needs like medication administration. 

As a life-long pet owner, I have significant experience managing a range of pet behavioural, dietary, physical, diabetic and other medical issues. I am as comfortable injecting insulin or administering other meds as I am cleaning up after puppies or senior pets who sometimes forget their toilet habits or who are recovering from illness or surgeries.

I always do a meet and greet ahead of a new client booking to make sure we're all a good fit, and create a comprehensive pet profile so there are no surprises!  

Included in every visit are real time text or email updates at each visit. Mail, newspapers or courier package deliveries will be brought in, lights will be rotated if not on timer, garbage bins taken to curb and retrieved, indoor plants and front entrance planters watered and tended as needed.
