Hello. My name is Roberta Shaffer, residing in Laval. 

I have been living in Laval for over 14 years

My beautiful and handsome cat Solly left his physical body Monday, July 10th, 2023. He was approximately 15 years old. Solly was my fur son. I loved him with every ounce of my being. I will love him forever.

I am available to do house visits once or twice a day and dog walking in close proximity to my home (which includes certain areas in Montreal). 

I am also available for overnight stays to keep your pets company and to make sure they feel loved and secure. ❤️

I love nature, working out, reading, writing, meditating, and spending time with animals! I have been an animal lover my whole life. Dogs and cats have been in my life since a young age; including turtles, goldfish, a guinea pig and a chameleon named Jack! 

Whatever the species, there is a special place in my heart reserved for every being...no matter how many legs or none at all! 

Those who know me call me Mrs. Dolittle because of the interactions I have with animals. Whether it was with my own precious fur baby Solly, visiting a friend's pet(s), coming across a little precious creature in the park or giving aid to a Canadian goose, a raccoon, a guineau pig and many more; it doesn't take long for a bond to form between the pet and myself. I have been cat sitting and dog walking for many years.I have also taken care of birds. As mentioned above, I welcome the opportunity to take care of any species of animal. 

If there is something you need to explain to me, I learn quickly and I am not squemish.

You can be assured I will spend much more time with your animal than the 30 minutes required by Pawshake. Spending time with an animal gives me joy and a wonderful sense of purpose; especially with those animals who take longer to warm up to people. I am calm and patient when pet sitting and I have the utmost respect for the precious being in front of me (or if they're under the sofa! LOL!)

I have taken a 4 part feline training in French (Je suis complètement bilingue) & I am always doing research to learn what I can about different animals. I am certified with St-John's ambulance FIRST AID\CPR course for humans & for animals (Both taken in French). I administer medication to animals orally and have no problem administering injections once you explain to me the proper procedure. When you ask me to take care of your precious love, be assured you can have peace of mind. It would be my pleasure and delight to meet you and your special family member(s) at your convenience.
