Would you like your pet to be in a home atmosphere while you are out-of-town, on vacation or I just not able to be there for your four-legged friend?
I have been boarding/sitting pets in my home for ten plus years.
I live in the Maple Ridge area and have a large, pet secure backyard. (used to own two daschunds, so yard had to be escape-proof).
I am dependable and would welcome your pet should he or she have special needs (medications, insulin needles).
I have cared for many "senior" dogs and would welcome yours into my home.
I do request that every guest brings their own food (and some extra in case you are delayed getting home) and your pet's special bed, blanket, toy (whatever would make them feel more at home).
If your pet sleeps with you then your pet can sleep with me.
I will give your pet the same attention I gave my own pets (walks, cuddles, talking to them, playing fetch).
Every pet will become a member of our household and be treated like the "rulers of the house" that they are.
I will "adopt" your pet as if it were my own.
Our home is located on a cul-de-sac so the traffic is minimal. Our community has paved alleys so I usually walk there so the dogs have a little more freedom and it is also more convenient when walking more than one guest.
Usually, they have met and visited with most of my neighbours by the time they are leaving (this also leads to extra ear scratches and petting).
When a new guest arrives we usually go for a walk, especially if there are other dogs already at the house.
Dogs are given a minimum of two walks daily and sometimes three.
We usually walk for 25 to 30 minutes, but sometimes this becomes 45 minutes to an hour.
I have found taking walks to introduce new dogs puts us all in neutral territory.
When we return from the walks the pets are given free run in my house (as stated, they are like my own pets).
If your pets are allowed on the furniture at home, then they can come up on the furniture at my house.
If not allowed on your furniture, then I keep them down at my house.
Come and meet me and introduce your pet.
Pat opens her home and heart to the dogs she cares for. Great experience. Thank you
Pat looked after Koda really well and she enjoyed her time with her. We received a very happy sleepy puppy at the end of the day. Thank you Pat!
