Hi! I’m Gabrielle, I grew up surrounded by animals in a small rural town in NB. I moved to Halifax a few years ago, which I now call home! I have always loved pets; contact me directly about my services below and I’ll reply within a day. No matter the age or personality I’m at ease and have experience with both dogs and cats. I started this on the side to earn a little more, and it translated into a full-time business which brings me so much joy! I'm relied on by friends and family to take care of their pets. I'm active, reliable, and responsible. Your pet will always have a safe and loving environment. I am flexible during the week and on weekends. we can discuss what works best with your schedule.

Services:

Dog Walking: I take on-leash walks throughout the neighborhood and hiking trails. I try to stay on quiet roads depending on the dog and the area. My walks are always a minimum of 30 minutes. I have a one-hour walking service for dogs that require more attention + have more energy. I try to limit myself to five walks per day (time slots). Weekends can be booked as well on occasion.

Drop-in Visits: Dogs and cats Fresh food/water, litter box maintenance, potty break, and playtime. If required, I can assist in small house tasks. This service is for busy pet owners who need me to check up on their pets in their homes, feed them, and take them out while they are away (ex: long working shift or vacation)

Daycare & Overnight Boarding: I offer overnight stays for dogs. Your pet will always have a safe and fun environment for daycare and sleepovers! I live in a large +1,500 sqft pet-friendly apartment unit. I am near a popular walking trail which is very convenient for making sure your pet is staying active throughout the day and spending enough time outside. The absolute maximum a dog can be left alone is 2 hours. As a committed sitter, I am here to spend time and give my full attention to your pet during their stay. My boyfriend who is also an animal lover will be present during the stay. He works full-time during the day from home and sometimes at the office. Pets that stay with us are fully my responsibility. We have boarded many dogs in the last year and have had so much success! We love the companionship and have so much love to give. It has been a pleasure to sit different dog breeds and get to know all the different personalities!!

Training: I don't offer specific dog training apart from obedience training (standard sit, down, stay, come, leash training, and positive reinforcement) Training is usually part of a drop-in visit, walk, or boarding. I'm happy to discuss details with you to keep it consistent.

House Sitting: House sitting is the same service as overnight boarding, essentially I will take care of your pet for a minimum of 24 hours, in the event you need to leave your home. This service is ideal for pet owners who feel they will be more comfortable in their own home. I can do some housekeeping if necessary. I will be the only person at the house (at all times) unless otherwise agreed with the owner.  

*Treats* I can offer treats but only with the owner's approval. I'm happy to use treats provided by owners to avoid an upset belly!

Standard Availability: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Often very flexible as this is my business. Weekends can be booked on request/advance.

A little more about me and my place: My boyfriend also lives with me. We do not have any pets at the moment...too busy pet-sitting!! We love all animals and are waiting to purchase a home and start our own family hopefully one day! Chris has had dogs his entire childhood so he's naturally a dog person. He works with an oceanographic company. Pets are allowed on the sofa. We have a spare room if needed for sleeping. We have a balcony and no yard, however, there are several walking trails nearby, which is super convenient for walks and potty breaks. We like to keep our place very clean. We're pretty good with making sure there is nothing breakable and making sure the place is pet-friendly (scent-free zone, washable rugs, pet-friendly fabrics, toys to play with, and we are ok with using pee pads for puppies if necessary)
