Hello! I'm Hannah. My husband, Michael, and I work together to provide pet care services in North Vancouver. Between the 2 of us, we've got you covered and your pet will get double the love!

We became pet sitters because we would love to get a dog or cat of our own, but can't commit to ownership at this phase of our lives. Pet sitting provides a wonderful opportunity to help others with their pet care needs while also fulfilling our own desire to play with furry friends! We are eager to spend time with your pet and give them lots of attention while you are away.

Services

- Home Visits: We offer 30-minute home visits, once or twice per day. Typically, either Michael or I will visit your pet, depending on time of day and location (i.e. 1 person per home visit). Home visits will include playing and engaging with your pet, refilling food and water, cleaning up kitty litter boxes and/or messes, taking your dog out for a bathroom break, etc. Prices include care of up to 3 pets. If you are on vacation, we can also bring in the mail, take out garbage, and water house plants (as requested). We will always ensure that your house is locked and secured when we come and go. Keys will be returned to you at the end of the booking.

- Dog Walking: walks will be 30-60 minutes, depending on pet needs and owner requests. If you live near Mount Seymour Parkway, we can come to your home and walk your dog from there. For other locations, we ask that you drop off and pick up your pet at our house. 

- Day Care: daily care in our home for dogs, cats, or other animals may be available for well trained pets. This service includes playing and engaging with your pet, providing food and water, bathroom breaks, and 1 walk for dogs. We ask that you only request this service if your pet is calm and independent enough to allow me to work from home during business hours. Owner is responsible for drop off and pick up at our house, as well as providing any food, toys, or other items that your pet needs.

- House Sitting: house sitting includes the same services as home visits, except that one or both of us will stay at your home for the duration of the booking. High speed, secure internet is required so that I can work remotely. Please send us a message to discuss if you are considering this option!

Availability

- I work full-time from home so my schedule is somewhat flexible. Michael works full-time in healthcare with variable hours.

- For home visits and dog walking, we are available Monday-Friday after 4pm and anytime on weekends. Depending on our work schedules, we may be able to do home visits or dog walks before 4pm on weekdays, depending on the location (please inquire for details).

Our Pet Experience:

- Since joining Pawshake, we have been hired by multiple families to do home visits for their cat(s) during their vacations. We love doing this!

- I grew up looking after my neighbour's cat and fish while they were on vacation, which was several times per year for about 10 years.

- We spend lots of time with dogs and cats owned by our friends and family, so we are very comfortable around them. We've also got experience with dog walking from helping out neighbours, friends, and family during their work and vacations.

- I had multiple gold fish for about 15 years, and even kept one of them alive for about 10 years! Michael also grew up with various types of pet fish and even a praying mantis.
