Hi!
I'm Hayley. I'm a huge animal lover and have been taking care of pets with my own business for 25 years. I started when I was 12 years old with a sweet kitty named Rosie. I have worked in Vet Clinics, zoo's, animal shelters, dolphin facilities, and volunteered with animals. I worked at the Calgary zoo and currently for Calgary Dog Walk!
I can administer medications, insulin, injections (subcutaneous fluids). I have studied animal care and behavior and can work with your pet using positive reinforcement. I have even taught my cat a few tricks and taught her how to walk on leash.
I am non-smoking, and active. I have a sassy tortie named Kalahari and have had her for 12 amazing years. She’s the light of my life! I’ve also had dogs all my life.
I'd love to take your dog for long walks, or play with your kitties or small pets. Rest assured your pets will be loved, entertained, and well cared for during my visit. I love all animals like they are my own. I look forward to meeting your fur family!
Drop in visits: 30 mins-1 hour to feed, refill water, scoop litter, play, etc.
Dog walks: I can do 15, 25, 30, 1 hour walks. Walking with dogs brings me so much joy! I love getting outside. If I’m staying in your home your dog will get a walk before work and after work. :) if your dog is great off leash then they can join us in our off leash walks once a day!
House sitting
$50 a night for cats, $70 for dogs and/or multiple.pets

We’ve booked house/dog sitting with Hayley several times. She is very conscientious and is very attentive to our dog. In addition, our house is as well taken care of when she’s here as when we’re here ourselves. Our dog is a Belgian Shepherd who is generally very aloof and mistrusting of people outside of the family (typical for the breed). He is very comfortable with Hayley and enjoys her company so it is obvious that she takes great care of him. We also love getting daily pictures of him while we’re away. On two occasions we had unexpected flight issues that extended our time away and Hayley was kind enough to extend without any problems. We’re grateful that we connected on PawShake.
Leo, the oldest of our cats, is now 16. Still lively but definitely old and his eyesight is not what it used to be. We were planning a big trip to Europe for 3 weeks and were worried living him for so long with just daily visits. It was also going to be the first time with us away for so long for Lulú, our new girl cat. We wanted someone to house sit and cat sit for us. Hayley was perfect. She stayed in touch regularly and sent us loads of pictures - we could tell the kitties loved her and they were so chill when we got back, totally relaxed. We were relieved and so happy for them, Hayley was great and we recommend her very highly.
