À propos de Griffin

Thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Griffin (They/He) and I am an experienced petsitter who has been on Pawshake for 2.5 years :•)

Outside of petsitting, I am an artist who is finishing an undergraduate degree in Gender studies. Despite all of this, Petsitting has been a life-changing job for me, and therefore is my main occupation other than my studies.

If you have any specialized requests for you and your pets, please do not hesitate to reach out! I am very willing to offer payment plans or other means to make my services available to you. Pet care should be available to everyone and not stuck behind a paywall and I will help support you in any way I can.

💁Some key skills I have are:

  • Administering medications (needle, pill, ointment, anything!).

  • Caring for pets of all ages, abilities, size and temperament. I have taken care of pets in wheelchairs, older pets, and even pets during their recovery of surgical procedures. I am very adaptable and willing to cater to your pets needs!

  • Valid class 5 BC drivers License AND willing to drive your pets to fun places for walks. Additionally, I can drive your pet if any unexpected emergencies arise and they need medical care

  • A will to learn, bond, and play with your pet to make sure that they are happy and comfortable while you are away :)

    [[NOTE all services except Dog walking include: Cleaning litterbox, replenishing food and water, giving your pet their medications, spending time bonding with your pet, washing and/or drying pet diapers or other pet clothes]]

    • 🐕‍🦺Dog walking: 30 mins unless requested for a longer or shorter walk. I am very willing to take your dog in my car and driving them to their favourite beaches or trail walks! I don't mind if your pet gets dirty during the walks and I will make sure they come back with clean paws 😊.


      • 🐈‍⬛Pet drop ins: At a base time of 30 mins, but can be increased to more time by request. This also includes basic house chores (vacuuming and cleaning pet litter and fur, etc.). I am willing to water plants and gardens as well by request. After each visit, I will send a report card which will include a photo of your pet and how they're feeling that day!


        • 🏡🐕Housesitting/petsitting: With this service I would stay in your home as much as possible with my schedule. I am currently finishing my undergrad at UVIC, so I might have to leave the home to go to class. Usually when I housesit, my partner Caitlin also helps me out as much as she is able, so between the two of us we can try to make things work out smoothly and make sure that your pet is cared for! Please let me know your pets routine and I will try my best to stick to it while you're away. Additionally, this service includes daily report cards like the pet drop ins.

          • Below are my needs and expectations going into caring for your pet(s)! 🐕😺

          • disclosure of cameras in or on the property

          • safe and secure access to home [lockable door code, fob, key, etc]

          • access to leash and pet bags for walks during care (Dogs)

          • NO OFF LEASH PLAY unless permitted by the owner with verbal or written consent 

          • food, cleaning supplies, and other pet needs in a convenient and identifiable location 

          • access to Vet information in case of emergencies [address and phone number]

          • predetermined timing for owner departure and arrival. If timing is unknown, predetermined timing for when I would be with your pet is necessary.

          • information of pet history, and history with other animals.

          • space where pets can be secure during night time. If pet lives indoor/outdoor, fencing, gates, or pet doors are required as I must know where your pet is at all times during the booking for liability and security reasons.

          • clean and tidy space including towel and bedding and basic home essentials [toilet paper, household cleaning products] (Housesit)

            • 🏠A bit about me and my life

            • I am up to date on all COVID-19 Vaccinations and I book a yearly flu shot as well. I am very willing to wear a mask in your home by request! 😷

            • I enter all interactions with pets with patience. It's understandable if your pet isn't thrilled with a stranger coming into their home! So I will make sure your pet gets the care they need while still feeling as comfortable as possible while you are away.

            • I grew up with dogs my entire life. Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, Pitt Bulls, mutts, you name it! I have a soft spot for pitties too 🥰. I have experience in basic training with my own pets and I am willing to help train yours too by request! 

            • I have loads of experience with cats as well. Although I never grew up with them, I have experience in caring for cats through pawshake and through my personal life. I have experience in administering insulin to some kitties, and I also have experience in caring for semi-feral cats, so don't be afraid to reach out if you have a cat with extra needs!!

            • Unfortunately, I am unable to house your pets in my home. I am in a small basement suite with my cat, Pippa, and she is not a fan of other animals :( I've tried to ask her many times, but unfortunately she won't budge 🐈.

              I really appreciated the wonderful care that Griffin provided for my two cats (one of whom has quite a challenging personality and requires daily medication on top of it). Their communication and reliability were excellent, and you could really tell how much they love caring for animals! Griffin took great care of my garden too. I will definitely book Griffin again and highly recommend them!
