Hi, I'm Arinn! I work a normal office job and draw a webcomic on the side, but I'd love to spend some extra time with your pets!
I offer service mainly in the West End/Downtown, Strathcona, Fairview, and Kits; and twice a day visits only within the West End (or general downtown for weekends).
I love animals! I grew up on a farm, so animals came with the territory, but now I live in the city with my two cats. I grew up with big dogs, and previously had a hound-retriever mix who has since passed away. I've spent time with senior animals (my own), and am familiar with giving pills, trimming nails, bathing, and have even had to give IVs/injections. I'm comfortable with fussy eaters/special diets. And of course, I've had pets all my life - I know there are sometimes messes to deal with, and I am okay with that too.
Each home visit is 30 min and includes feeding, water change, litter change, and playtime, unless your cat is openly hostile/uncomfortable with my presence, in which case I will make the visit quick so as to not cause them any distress. I will update with photos & a status report on every visit.
I'm comfortable with all sizes of dogs, and good leash manners are really important to me. I am comfortable with taking things slow and walking dogs who are learning/need correction - my old dog was a senior rescue and had a lot of issues that it took time and patience to work out.
I also have experience with exotic animals: I had gerbils/hamsters growing up, and have taken care of/spent time with turtles, snakes, birds, other reptiles, etc.
Arinn was a great cat sitter. She was very easy to communicate with and sent daily photos which put our minds at ease. Would recommend!
Arinn is an awesome cat sitter! She sent me daily pictures and brief updates, and she was even able to give the pill to our cat. When we got home after our vacation, our cat was so happy and relaxed. She was also very considerate about the COVID-19 situation, during the home visit she had her mask on and she kept a safe distance.
giving pills, trimming nails, giving baths, giving injections, patient leash training (to help correct dogs who pull or have bad leash manners).
