Hi and Welcome! 

My name is Jess and my partner Cal and I are a young couple with no pets of our own, so we'd love to take care of yours! We both grew up around animals - dogs, cats, birds and rabbits - but due to our current living situtation we can't have any. It's really important to us to give each animal under our care the same level of time and attention that we would for our own pets, so we only book one family at a time. Currently our main offer is for housesitting services, though dog walking or drop-in house visits can also be offered, depending on proximity. Unfortunately we cannot currently provide boarding as our current house does not allow pets. 

We live in the Mississauga area near Erin Mills Town Centre. When sending a request, please include your rough location (ie. postal code or closest intersection) so we can get an idea of where you're at. We always do a meet-and-greet before accepting a request, just to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable with the arrangemenet. 

Prior to Pawshake, I did a lot of pet/house sitting in Dawson City, Yukon. I was introduced to this platform by a friend when I moved back to Mississauga and have loved the opportunity to meet and connect with many different families and their pets.

Services Provided:
Every pet is unique, so the care provided will vary based on the discussed needs/desires of your specific pet. We want to make their experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible, whether that means hanging out with them all day or letting them have some alone time.

Dog walking services will be provided in the evenings. Walks will be at least a half hour in length. I would also love to take your dog to a leash free park, if that's something they are good with.

For house sitting services, my partner and I would stay in your home to ensure your pets have as much care and attention as possible. We both currently work normal workdays out of the house. I finish at 3:30pm and my partner has some flexibility (ie. if a pet needs medication at a certain time we can probably work something out). Other than that, we are home bodies so we would be at your place (likely snuggling an affectionate pet) most of the time. We also love to cook and I recently developed a love for gardening.

We provide regular updates via text or WhatsApp about how your pets are doing and, of course, lots of photos! The frequency of updates that you'd prefer will be discussed at the meet and greet.

Restrictions:
We are happy to care for multiple pets at the same time, but only one owner at a time. Because we do not offer boarding services, we do not want to be visiting more than one house per evening. This is to make sure we can provide the appropriate amount of attention to your fur babies! Also pet age is not an issue, so long as the risk is understood. Oral medications can be administered but I do not feel comfortable administering anything requiring a needle.

Aside from typical pets, my partner also has experience with horses and I have experience with farm animals.
