My name is Carmen and I would love the privilege of being able to pet-sit. In my everyday life I am a full-time social worker who works a 9-5, but I love to care for animals in my spare time. I currently work from home and will be doing so for the foreseeable future as my job is remote therefore your pets will have a lot of company.
I had been a foster volunteer for both the Toronto Humane Society and the Toronto Cat Rescue for over 3 years. I have had experience in caring for palliative-care cats, cats with special needs (neurological or mobility disorders) have learned to administer medication and have done a lot of work with under-socialized (anxious) pets. I have been given training on how to care for cats and small mammals from the Toronto Humane Society. I am no stranger to caring for animals and genuinely love doing it.
Home Visits
I am happy to visit your pets in your home, and could spend a considerable amount of time with them (at least 40 minutes per visit). My visiting times can either be around 7am or any time after 6pm (depending on your pets feeding schedule) I am able to feed, groom and play/provide stimulating activities for pets, with ease. if your home is close by I can also come midday but that would depend on distance from my home.
Cat Boarding
For folks looking for cat boarding, I live alone with no other pets and no children in a 1 bedroom apartment that overlooks the Humber river. All of my windows have screens on them and my apartment is completely pet-safe. I have my own sets of grooming equipment, litter boxes and litter, meaning that you would not need to pack much to have them stay with me. I can take up to 2 cats at a time but will only do so if both cats already live together or both are social and want a boarding companion. I will not be boarding 2 different owners cats (as I know that can be disastrous and very stressful for the cats). The cats I have fostered love to spend their days looking out the window and running around the apartment chasing the animals that pass by.
House-sitting
As a house-sitter I tend to not leave the house for more than a couple of hours if I need to pick up groceries or run errands. I will be respectful of the space and keep it clean so that you can re-enter your home with ease. Your pets will also be well taken care of during my stay.
I recognize that all animals have unique personalities, needs and boundaries and I'm happy to work with the pet-parents to make the absence a little easier for everyone. Pets are family and if their owners feel that they are cared for, it goes a long way to providing a happy home. I'm confident that I can provide excellent and professional care and support.

Carmen is such a very good cat sitter, she understand the needs of my balinese cat who can be demanding especially for attention. He stayed with her not only for one night but almost a week. He came home happy which clearly shows he had a nice time with Carmen since she played with him, groom him. He likes that very much. Thank you Carmen for accommodating him. Carmen took a very good care of my cat for almost a week. I could say she is a cat lover the way my Snowky was treated with love and care. She updates me everyday as to the well being of Snowky and I'm very appreciative of that. He likes her place especially the big window where he can watch birds. Thank you, Carmen for sending me photos of him especially for treating him as your own. I will definitely use her service once again.
