Hi! My name is Erin, and I've lived in the West Bend my entire life. I am a 35 year old graduate in archaeology and museum studies, but I've always had a deep love of animals of all kinds, and I'd love to look after your furry friends! I wasn't allowed any pets growing up, so I always leapt at the chance to dog-sit for family friends. My dog sitting experiences have included staying with a small, young terrier for several days in Hamilton, caring for a group of border collies on a couple of occasions, once for a week on my own, at a farm near Uxbridge, and, most recently, being the go-to dog-sitter for an 8-year-old Burma Doodle in the West Bend. I've also looked after a family friend's semi-outdoor cat on multiple occasions. I love taking dogs on long walks through High Park and along the Humber River, playing with them in dog parks, and keeping them company overnight. I am available to walk or visit pets any time of the day (morning, noon and night), and I am happy to give your dog a good hour-long walk in good weather, letting them meander and sniff around at their own pace. I am also comfortable with staying with pets at their own home, where they feel the most comfortable, for 1-2 hours at a time. If arranged beforehand, I can generally make myself available for longer, or even full-day/night visits. I am also comfortable with looking after cats (I am proficient at plant care as well!). I am good with small and medium-sized dogs, and with larger dogs with gentle temperaments. I would like to know beforehand if your dog has any allergies or health issues, as well as any quirky behaviours they might have (eg. are there things they don't like? are they likely to give lovebites while playing? do they try to eat anything odd?). I want to be able to give your pets the best experience possible while their human parents are away. I am kind of a sucker when it comes to giving an animal a good pet or scratch, so your pet(s) will get lots of attention!
