I had a cat in my house growing up, two more as a teenager, and now two different ones with me as an adult. I trim their claws, brush them, and brush the teeth of the one who gets bad plaque buildup. I taught one of my friends from 'barely knows anything about cats' to 'resident cat whisperer, whose friends go to her when they need help with a kitten.' I've read up on cat care a bit and watched Jackson Galaxy videos for more information. 

I've never had a dog, but I play with friends' dogs every chance I get. I understand that some dogs need a slower introduction to new people, and some want to start licking and playing right away. If you're currently training your dog, I am willing to reinforce that training (ex. if you're training them not to jump up on people, I won't respond to them jumping on me by petting them). I also love going on long walks.

I won't be taking animals into my home because my two cats may not like it, and I don't want any of the pets to be stressed.
