Hello! My name is Kyra! I'm 23 years old and I am a vet tech student! I graduated from a 2-year program at Conestoga College and now currently studying to be a Veterinary Technician at the University of Guelph. 

I've have had extensive hands-on experience with many types of animals. I've worked at a kennel, shelter, groomer as well as volunteered at a horse barn too. I have had multiple dogs in my past. My 11-year-old yellow lab passed away a little while ago and I miss him dearly. 

This being said I miss having a furry friend to take care of! I would love to provide care and assistance to you and your pet(s) where it is needed. Whether it is taking them for a walk, pet check-ins, hosting them while you travel, or even just letting them out for a bathroom break during that day I would be more than happy to help! 

On my journey as a Veterinary Technician, I am striving to gain exposure to a variety of pets big and small. I am very flexible with times, and I also have a reliable vehicle. Below are the services I offer with a small description on what I would be doing during each service.

Meet & Greets:

With any pet stays or visits I like to coordinate a meet and greet with owners and pet(s) to have a brief conversation about your pets needs as well as answer questions or concerns you may have. This is also a great way for myself & your pet to meet! Meet & Greets are usually around 10 minutes.

Boarding:

Pets that are looking to stay the day(s) or night(s) will have full access to my very pet friendly home as well as a large backyard that is fully fenced with a inground pool. This being said pets will never be left alone while outside to ensure of their safety. Pets will receive walks each day of their stay and will receive lots of playtime and nap time as well. I am also located close to many great walking trails and dog parks. I am currently living at home therefore pets will be socializing with both me, my parents and my boyfriend. Pictures and updates are a priority to me as I like to ensure owners that their furry friend is in good care!

Daycare:

Pets that would like to stay just for the day are more then welcome with the same amenities as boarding. During pets stay I would take the pet on a walk and as well as have a dedicated play time. Times for drop off will be determined when booking. Pick up must be before 6:00pm.

Dog walks:

If you are looking for a home visit walks, depending on the breed and age of the dog I will walk the dog for an average of 15- 30 minutes either once or twice per day. I am very flexible in times of visiting your home. I also have a reliable vehicle so the option for outings to dog parks and trails are a possibility as long as you and your pet are comfortable.

Home Visits:

If you are looking for a home visit I am very flexible with times. I will come by once or twice a day for an amount of time discussed during booking. In this time I will be there to take care of your pet as well as assist in any minor home chores you may have such as watering plants, retrieving the mail and other small jobs.

Other:

During your pets stay I can administer oral medications as well as do a small amount of grooming including brushing, clipping nails and ear cleaning with owners request.
