Hello! I hope everyone is staying safe and hanging in there as we get through this crazy time.
I am currently still providing pet sitting in the pets house during the pandemic. I have a lot of anxiety about covid so I am very cautious about things and health and safety is my top priority for all. I stay home almost 24/7 except to get groceries/supplies once a week and one daily walk outside.
I normally do a big clean before the end of the stay to make sure you are coming home to a fresh and clean home, and now during covid I add extra sanitation of surfaces.
I have spent 10 years working with animals from dog daycares in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, as well as being a vet assistant at vet clinics in BC and Alberta. After having too many horrible experiences working for people who can’t respect their employees and the animals I started my own business providing in home pet care. I have the most experience working with dogs, especially fearful, timid, and anxious dogs, as well as dogs that are not dog friendly, and I have loved getting to take care of cats and have become and huge cat lover over the last few years. I have also looked after a snake, turtles, lizards, and rodents. I love all animals and am not afraid to get my hands dirty.
If your pet is diabetic or on any medication, I am trained and able to administer any medication needed. I have post-surgical care experience, basic grooming skills, nail clipping, wrinkle and ear cleaning, among many other skills. I use positive training techniques with all the animals I work with and carry a pet first aid kit on all walks, as well as water and a water bowl. Animals are very reactive to energy, so I consciously work to stay calm and am mindful of the animal’s energy to better help the pets needs.
I have a second business making paracord collars and leashes, and during the summer I am at the st.albert farmers market every Saturday from around 7am-4pm. Otherwise I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate pets that need a lot of care.
After spending two years living in a self-converted camper van I am now living in a small studio across from NAIT. I love alternative living options and hope to have my own tiny house on some land one day and foster dogs.
Great and trustworthy even with a temperamental kitty!
