Dear Pet Owner,

I am an educator approaching retirement. I want to pet sit to fill my time doing something I really enjoy when I am no longer working. My own experience of using pet boarding services has not been positive so I strongly believe that pets are more comfortable staying in their own home environment when their humans are away.

I have had cats all through my life with just a short feline-free period when I first moved to Canada 15 years ago. I realized the special joy pets bring to a home after not having a pet companion for a few years. I also have experience of hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and gerbils both as a child and an adult.

My nest has recently emptied with both my daughter and her lovely cat moving away. Luckily, I still get to cat-sit him and his new buddy when she travels. Now there are just the 3 of us at home; me, my hubby and our little girl cat, Zsa Zsa 😻.

I have experience of administering medications as I had a grumpy old girl cat who had hyperthyroidism for the last 8 years of a 17 years long life; she was not a willing patient 🙀. My current cat is very nervous so I am sensitive to a timid pet's needs. 

My home visits are a minimum of 30 minutes and I communicate details of the visit to clients with photos for each visit. I live in the east end of Orleans but can also travel to outlying areas.
