Hello there! I'm Kait. I'm a late-30's woman who has always loved pets. I'm currently a part-time student, so I am thrilled at the opportunity to care for your furry friends. 

I currently share my home with several cats and a delightful dog, so don't be surprised if I have some extra dog cookies in my coat pockets. Being a dedicated pet owner myself, I understand the importance of ensuring your pets receive the love and attention they deserve. I also understand how important it is to treat pets as individuals, each with their own needs and quirks.

For both cat sitting and dog walking I am currently available in the mornings and afternoons, between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. I have some flexibility for checking in on your pet in the evening, so please get in touch so we can discuss that further.

I have experience walking dogs and checking in on cats, making sure they feel comfortable and secure. Your pets' well-being is my top priority, and I strive to create a stress-free experience for both you and your beloved companions.

When taking care of your cats, I will do so in your home. That gives me the additional bonus of taking in your mail, should you so desire, and watering your indoor plants. If you have a garden you would like watered, let's chat about it a bit further.

The time that I spend with your cats will depend on them, and their routine. If they are the type of kitties who prefer lots of solitude when their people are gone, I will make sure their litter box is neat, fill up all water and food dishes (or feed on their appropriate schedule!) and leave, after ensuring your house is safe and secure.

If your cats feel a bit more secure having someone in the house, I can bring some homework and spend some extra time in your house, up to 30 minutes total, so that your cats feel calm and cozy having a person about.

If you have a cat who you groom every day, I can make sure that is done as well. I know some cats love to be brushed, so I'm sure it would make them feel more at ease with their people gone.

I will be taking a few pictures of your cats and your place to send to you every day, so you can both look at how cute your cats are, and feel good knowing that they are in good hands.

I will be locking the door behind me every time I both enter and exit your house. If you have an alarm, I will set it to ensure you have peace of mind while you're gone.

In regards to dog walking, I am currently looking for new clients. Once you and I together have determined that your dog and I are a good fit, I will further ask that we take some time to talk about your dog's walking style. Do they need a harness? Do they need booties? Do they like to happily jump up on new people? Having all of this information down will make sure that your pup enjoys walks with me.

My length of walk will depend on your dog's routine. My rates begin at 30 minutes of walking, but I can break that up into 20 minutes of walking and 10 minutes of indoor play (as an example), if that would work better for your pup.

I am able to wash pups paws and tummies when they come back inside, especially in the winter or on a rainy, muddy day. (Let's make sure no salt is on your dog's skin, thank you very much!)

I will also ensure that your dog has fresh food and water, dependent on their eating schedule of course. My own dog is crate trained, so I am experienced putting a dog back in their crate while their person is out.

If you would like me to stay with your dog for a little while after the walk - say, 20-30 minutes to allow them extra time to play, eat, and drink before being crated, we can work that into the schedule together. I am also comfortable leaving your dog loose - whatever works for you and your pet.

When both picking up and dropping off your dog, I will lock the doors behind me. I will also set your alarm if you would like me to. I want to ensure that you feel comfortable and safe when out.
