I am a high school teacher who loves all kinds of animals. From a young age I have always been drawn to animals of all shapes and sizes. And animals respond well to my calm and comfortable attitude - even the shy and "difficult" ones. I think they sense that I will respect their readiness for contact - some pets are super cuddly, and some prefer to keep a distance. I like to bring along a book and just hang out reading, while the pet gets used to my presence. A typical home visit would be a couple of hours, depending on the needs of the pet.

Do you have a dog that needs some extra exercise? I love walking dogs of all ages and sizes. I am comfortable with big dogs who can be a bit unruly on leash. If the weather is extremely hot or cold, part of the walk time would be exchanged for indoor play time.

I would be overjoyed to come to your house and take care of your furry and feathered (and even scaled) kids!

I am experienced with dogs, cats, parrots, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, iguanas and fish. I am at ease giving medications - pills, injections, topical, etc. I will feed and water your animals, play with them, tidy cages, litter boxes, etc. While at your home I will also collect the mail, water your plants, put out the garbage, and any other small tasks that will ease your mind during your time away.

Are you an anxious pet parent? I would be happy to send daily updates and pictures to ease your mind. Do you have a routine with your pet? I will stick to it as close as possible. Your vacation should be as stress free as possible, for both you and your animal(s).

During the school year I am available mornings, evenings and weekends. During the summer I am available at any time! I am fully vaccinated (2 shots) against Covid.
