Hi, I'm a reliable pet and house sitter now in Toronto who enjoys connecting with new pets. Ones that their owners say tend to be shy of strangers, often are open to my gentle energy and will engage with me soon. I've done many tasks for pet, plant and home care for daytime visits, and stayed onsite for periods from two weeks to over three months.
I’ve tended multiple small, medium and some large size dogs of different ages, and many cats, including dogs and cats on special diets I’ve prepared as specified, and given medicated drops and pills orally. I’ve groomed and gently cut mats from very fluffy fur when needed, washed and dried big retrievers after muddy swims, etc. Also, have tended a snake, tarantula, hamsters, fish, indoor birds, chickens, and ducks! Responsible and a good communicator, I like to keep animals satisfied and a tidy home, and after several years with a prior sitting platform can provide multiple references; just ask me to send them! I’ve been a repeat cat sitter for a client in Montreal, and friends in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I'm certified in permaculture design, and have maintained people's orchids, hedges, a variety of other in/outdoor plants, and a worm composting bin. I've tended a house for the winter in rural Massachusetts where managing security and snow clearing were important.
I don’t smoke or drink, I’m conservation-oriented, keen to recycle, reduce utility use, clean with non-toxic products, and generally be respectful in other people's spaces. I’m only looking to sit in the GTA and can't host animals at this time, but can reach locations by TTC, GO train or bike to visit for stay-overs, care check-ins and walks. For one home visit or walk a day where I'm not sitting the property overnight, I can provide service 30-60 min. for the listed fee. Travel time involved, depending on location, is a factor in my ability to agree to shorter visit requests.
