About me

I'm a self-employed pet sitter and dog walker with four years of professional experience in pet care. Over that time, I’ve built relationships with all of the pets I care for. I’ve been there for the untameable puppy energy, cared for pets in their final weeks, and watched rescues soften under the safety of a loving family. I find so much fulfillment in the meaningful and lasting ways this work lets me connect with animals. my neighbours, and my community.

I’m also a multidisciplinary artist, arts organizer, and arts educator. I love being active and spending time outdoors. I'm a hiker, runner, and swing dancer, and can often be found biking and writing in nature. I'm also a self-proclaimed horticulturalist with a love of houseplants <3

My pet care experience & approach:

• Pet first-aid certified through the Canadian Red Cross and the Ottawa Humane Society.
• Fully insured to provide pet, home, and plant care services.
• Experience with senior pets, disabled & special needs pets, and puppies.
• Safe and confident oral medication administration.

I have experience caring for cats and dogs of various breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, as well as pets with:

• Food allergies
• Anxiety
• Visual & hearing impairments
• Mobility issues
• Injuries
• Reactivity*

*While I have experience caring for reactive dogs and am comfortable following established management and training routines, I am not equipped to care for dogs with a known history of aggression.

I take my time to build trust with a pet, get to know their quirks and personality, and learn how they communicate. Pet care is more than a service transaction for me. I approach pet care with empathy and attentiveness, so you can feel at ease knowing that your pet is not only being walked and fed, but loved and listened to.

I tailor my care to your pet’s needs and your preferences as a pet owner. My goal is to make your pet’s time with me as comfortable, familiar, and fun as possible. I’m especially passionate about pet enrichment, and love finding ways to keep a pet's brain happy and stimulated, through play, training, exercise, or getting outside and sniffing the world.

My approach to in-home pet sitting & house sitting:

I understand the responsibility that comes with being trusted with someone else's home and belongings. Through my pet care work, I've developed a conscientious approach to caring for other people's spaces. I follow household instructions carefully, treat belongings with respect, keep things tidy, and communicate if something seems out of the ordinary.

I'm happy to take care of everyday household responsibilities, like watering plants, bringing in mail, and taking out garbage and recycling. Every home, pet, and plant is different, and I’ll always follow your instructions or ask for clarification rather than making assumptions about how things should be done.
