I'm a hardworking and warm-hearted student (23 year old female) looking to make some cash while doing summer studies from home (living with my roommate and partner, who is also an animal lover!).

Flexible and will always make adjustments to best suit your pet (e.g., can run with high energy dogs, or take slow walks with elderly pups).

PS- I'm trauma informed and patient when it comes to caring for all animals. I have experience with highly shy or anxious animals such as my cat at home who we adopted and has some abandonment related anxiety.

My motivation to become a sitter is partly that as a student living away from home, I miss my pets of course. I know however that it is not responsible for me to have my own until I graduate.

Service for: cats, dogs, ferrets.

Guaranteed 1x long walk or 2x shorter walks
per day and 1 hour+ one-on-one play time possibly with enrichment activities like swim, dog park, sandbox, fetch (fenced in).

Walking routine🚶‍♀️🐕‍🦺

1. Get the pet set up in their harness/leash. 

2. Check I have enough treats, toys, doggie bags, inflatable water dish and water.

**Put on boots, paw balm, or raincoat or other clothes owner may request.**

3. See if the animal needs to go #1 or #2 and clean up.

4. DURATION: 30 minute to 1 hour long walk (unless otherwise requested)

Location: around Dow's Lake nearby.

Optional: Fenced dog park off Bronson for socialization fun or fenced in school yard for fetch.

6. Treat at end of walk (dried liver or kibble preferred because healthiest, but can use whatever is usual). Take off gear and chill 5-10 minutes (water dish at home and dog bed away from sun).

**Happy to wash in my tub or groom them after our walk, as preferred.**

[At Your Home --- Visit or Stay]

1. Stop by once or twice a day.
2. Feed once or twice.
3. Play and hang out for 30 mins to an hour.
4. Check in texts and photos optional.
5. Snuggles and pats if not in a playing mood. ☺️
6. Anything else you may need, such as litter changes (cats) and trips outside to take care of business (dogs) and clean up.
**I prefer to have dogs stay with me so I can be attentive to their needs to go out.

[From My House --- Visit or Stay]

1. Feeding once or twice a day. Will encourage them gently and try to make the food enticing (e.g., sprinkle liver treat on it) if they seem not to want it.

2. Going outside for #1 or #2 to the lawn beside my house every couple hours, or as needed.
**Please inform if puppy pee pads needed e.g., young or elderly)

3. Animal will stay with me in main room, with free roam of the hall and kitchen (bathroom and bedrooms closed).

4. We have AC in the main room and main bedroom so this is where we will be most times and will sleep and place their bed at night. ** Door shut unless this scares your pet, please advise.

I accept pets that have their regular shots within a year (rabies, fleas, ticks vaccines) etc. If you are elderly and unable to take your pet for a vet appointment I have also done this in the past and taken precise notes on the medications and care needed.

{Safety Precautions}
 
On Walks 🌳🐶

- Always ON-LEASH when walking (including at dog parks because bigger dogs can accidentally get playful and injure a smaller dog by accident, unless specifically requested otherwise).

RE- Separating pets
- if needed, this can be easily done with baby gates in my appartment allowing me to keep multiple pets in sight if needed.

My apartment 🏠 
-Living on the top floor of a house so plenty of room.

- Always in the same room to supervise the pet. Full attention if they seem unsettled or upset.

- I may work on assignments with regular checks every 20 mins or so, if it is a longer stay. 

- No loose items open or accessible from animal height that are known to be problematic (cords, hair ties, medications, house plants).

- Local vet on speed dial and I am CPR and First Aid trained. If for any reason I need to call the vet, I have a driver's license and can take them.
