Hi! I’m Izzy, and I’ve been a big animal person for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and a cat and spent a lot of time on a farm horseback riding and helping look after animals around the barn, so being around animals has always been a really joyful part of my life.

I’ve spent the past few years pet sitting and dog walking for friends (and friends of friends), and it’s honestly something I never get tired of. I’ve mostly worked with cats and dogs, but I’ve also cared for birds, rabbits, ferrets, and fish along the way. I offer dog walking (or other pet walking if leash trained), drop-in visits, and house sitting, and I love getting pets out for fresh air and exercise, helping them stick to their usual routines or training, and making sure they get plenty of attention while their humans are away. I’m just as happy spending time playing, hanging out, or offering lots of cuddles—whatever your pet needs. I work part time from home (aside from Thursday afternoons), which gives me a very flexible schedule. I live in Wîhkwêntôwin and love walking around the neighbourhood and into the river valley, but I’m also available to care for pets in other areas. Walks are typically 30 minutes but can be extended up to 60 minutes, and for drop-in visits I’m flexible with timing and happy to help with feeding, refilling water, bathroom breaks, basic medication, playtime, training or tricks, and other tailored tasks like checking the mail. I’m also available for 24-hour or multi-day house sitting and can work remotely from your home as long as there’s internet access.

I was lucky enough to live with roommates who had cats for several years (first a black cat named Buzz and a white and black cat named Scotty, and then a black cat named Elvis and a white and black cat named Mitski) but I currently live in a pet-free building. Pet sitting is a great way for me to still have animals in my life, stay active, and get to do something I really love. I always aim to make pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for, even when their owners are away.
