We are a close, loving, adventurous family who adore dogs. Although we’ve had dogs most of our lives, we currently have no pets in the house, which means we can give yours our full attention. My husband and I both work from home in the environmental science field, allowing us to be flexible and responsive to each dog’s special needs. Our daughters, aged 8 and 10, are gentle and confident with animals, with our eldest, Hayley, proudly taking charge of the fun things like play, walks, and cuddles after school.

We tailor our care to each dog — from young and energetic personalities to older dogs who prefer a quieter pace. They can rest in their own area, nap in our office, stay by the fire, or remain on the ground floor if they don’t like stairs. Feeding schedules, several short walks, and calm routines are all accommodated and we have had experience in basic obedience training. We host only one family at a time, so there is no forced socialising. Hayley and I have gone through the Canadian Red Cross Dogs First Aid course and I have experience in working with wildlife rehabilitation and administering medication.

We do ask our clients to bring their own bed and food to make them more comfortable and we will send pictures and messages during their stay!
