Hello, and thank you for stopping by and checking out my profile! I live in the West End of Vancouver, and love animals! I spend my spare time going for walks around the seawall or travelling to West Van hoping to catch the Whales and Orcas, or any of our amazing wildlife here in our backyard. 

I've grown up with cats & dogs my whole life so I'm well versed on the general daily care of them. I've cared for both small and large breed dogs, as well as kitties with multiple personality traits/ages and welcome spending time with yours! I've also cared for a friends' rescued exotic pets while they've gone on vacation (bunnies, a turtle, a chameleon, budgies, and a even Chinchilla we call Mr. Luke because he's a distinguished gentleman). 

My partner unfortunately has allergies to pet dander so we can't have pets of our own. That's why I'm here to care for yours and help facilitate your pet's needs when you're busy with work, travels, or just need a break from your daily grind! 

I currently have open availability (subject to change) and would prefer to stay within the West End/Downtown Core to ensure I can do walks/check ins as quickly and efficiently as possible. I am open to travelling outside of the downtown core for longer stays (ie; house-sitting). 

I can care for senior/special needs animals, but I MUST have your pet's specific needs, lists of medications, their daily routine, and emergency contacts available to review prior to house-sitting. I can administer most medications, including insulin shots but I would need to see how the pet interacts with me before agreeing to care for them. I can work with anxious animals, and will respect their space/needs. I also try to only interact with your pet when on walks, unless asked otherwise (if your dog is super friendly and knows all the neighbourhood dogs, no problem). 

Since I want to ensure a safe, calm, and relaxing walk for your pups, I try to only take one dog on a walk at a time, unless you have 2 that normally walk together. If your dog is a track star, I'll be sure to walk/jog out that energy while with them so they are nice and tuckered out when they get back home. 

I cannot take your animals home with me (partner with allergies + no pets on lease) so I am only available for dog walking, pet check ins 1-2 times/day and house-sitting. 

Does your pet have a lot of specialized needs? Let me know, I'll take great pride in caring for them as if they were my own! Your pet is your baby, and you have a VERY SPECIFIC routine? No problem, I'll follow it to a T! Working on training your pup with walks and you're nervous that someone else walking them will mess with the progress you've made? No stress, I will gladly discuss your training regimen, your regular route, or whatever they need to keep their training in tact! My last pup was a female King Shepherd, I had her trained so well that we would do off leash 20km trail runs together with ease, she wouldn't break stride and stayed within 1 foot of me at all times (even when the squirrels decided to join in on the fun). 

Dog walks can vary between 30 minutes to 1+ hr depending on the dog's energy levels. I keep water/treats and poop bags on hand when walking them. If ANYTHING happens to your sweet fur babies while in my care, I will immediately contact you and provide basic first aid/rush them to the appropriate care. I am first aid level 2 certified for humans, and know basic pet first aid as well!
