Hi! 

I have always been a dog owner/lover and just recently adopted my first cat. Ever since I can remember I've been in love with dogs and want to hug and cuddle every dog in sight. 😍🐶 I trained my own little man Ollie based completely on everything I learned during my five years of volunteer work training (and puppy raising) service puppies at PADS. During my volunteer work I took an online course with Animal Behaviour College in 2005 and became a certified dog trainer in 2006. 

My little Ollie is nearly 16 now and unfortunately no longer live with him but I still love him so much and look forward to my weekly visits and cuddles. Recently I adopted my very first cat. I've become a little obsessed with my new goofy, snuggle bug and do not regret the adoption in the least bit. I do hope to one day have two dogs with my boyfriend and be able to once again live with a dog I can love, and spend time with. 

Unfortunately due to past and current health issues I am only capable of taking single dogs for walks who are up to 30 lbs even though I love all sizes. I will be happy to discuss and answer any of your questions or concerns about my health issues because I know every pet owner would want someone they can trust. 

As for my services, I will be offerering dog walking and dog training (with some added pets and cuddles of course.) Training and spending time with dogs has always given me so much happiness and relaxation. ☺️ This is my first time putting myself out there offering help to the local pet parents and I can't wait to get started! 

The dog walking services will involve a 30min walk around the area. I live above the beach so could take your dog to enjoy the cool breezy air or a simple neighborhood walk. Furthermore, I could work on simple walking manners if requested for no extra charge. Walking manners would involve, eye contact when asked, and no pulling.

I will also be offering basic obedience. Basic obedience involves the usual sit, down, stay, here, leave it, and heel. We can always use different words for the commands if you prefer. For my training services I offer a fun 60mins session with the owner applying only positive reinforcement with treats, toys or affection as rewards for the correct behaviour I ask for. From experience, many dogs respond best to a specific reward. My Ollie only responded with a combination of calm affection and treatos whereas some more energetic breeds respond best to toys and play as their reward. Unlike dog walking, the basic obedience will be $30 but I'll make sure your dog will have lots of fun with both. A little heads up though, I do sound a little ridiculous whenever I'm giving praise. Let's have fun and make your little guy think training is a party and something to look forward to! 😃

Unfortunately I will not be available on Sundays or any evening, but apart from that, I am quite flexible.
