Hi! I’m Karla, and caring for animals has been one of the biggest passions of my life. Dogs have always been part of my family, but my professional journey began when I became the owner and operator of Prestigious Montessori Doggy Daycare in Mount Pleasant, where I spent over 7 years caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels.

During that time, I developed extensive experience with positive reinforcement training, loose-leash walking, enrichment activities, group management, puppy socialization, and providing individualized care based on each dog’s personality and needs. My goal has always been to create an environment where dogs feel safe, understood, and genuinely excited to spend time with me.

Recently, I made a career shift, but I knew I didn’t want to leave behind something I’ve always been passionate about. That’s why I continue offering private dog walking and personalized care on the side. It allows me to stay connected with these beautiful, loving souls while providing each dog with the one-on-one attention, patience, and care they deserve.

What I offer

• Private walks (30 or 60 minutes): One-on-one walks tailored to your dog’s pace, energy level, and comfort. Every walk includes fresh water, positive reinforcement, mental enrichment, and a detailed update after the walk.
• Drop-in visits (30 or 60 minutes): Feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, medication (when instructions are provided), enrichment activities, and lots of affection.
• Puppy visits: Potty breaks, playtime, routine reinforcement, and support with basic manners using positive reinforcement techniques.

I care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, puppies, adults, and seniors. Before every booking, I like to get to know each dog’s personality, routine, and any special needs so I can provide the safest and most enjoyable experience possible. If your dog has any medical requirements, behavioral considerations, or specific routines, I’m happy to accommodate them whenever possible.

My philosophy is simple: every dog deserves to be treated with kindness, patience, and respect. I believe trust is built through consistency, positive reinforcement, and understanding each dog’s individual personality—not through force or punishment.
