Hi. My name is Cadence Froese. I am originally from Toronto, Ontario. I moved to British Columbia in the summer of 2021. I am grateful to be starting university at UBCO in the fall, majoring in sociology and minoring in psychology and anthropology. My parents bought our first dog when I was 7, and it was the most amazing surprise of my life. I couldn't have been happier. Throughout the few years I have lived here, I have loved taking my dog on long, beautiful walks and to amazing dog parks. The only thing I struggled with was the sad feeling of having to leave my dog home alone. I always feel bad, and I want to take him everywhere. I have always wanted to have a dog sitter who could hang out with my dog while I am out of town, but no one was ever available where I live. That's why I have decided to start my own dog-sitting page to help other families in need of a dog sitter. Each one of my services is slightly different; for my 24-hour dog-sitting service, it comes to $50, which includes 2 walks, playtime, and feeding. My 1-home visit, which is 30 minutes, is $20, which includes being let outside and playtime. My 2x visits, which are both 30 minutes, include 1 walk, playtime and being let outside. Finally, my dog walking service is $25 per 30 minutes for a walk or time at a dog park. My typical walk is 1km depending on the dog's age and mobility. I take my time getting to know the dogs before we go for a walk so that they know they can trust me and that I am not someone to fear. I am available most days; once I start university, I will be free Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and Monday to Thursday I can do mornings or late evenings. I have taken care of a few animals in my life, which were family and friends. I have mainly taken care of cats and dogs, but I am open to taking care of any animals. When I have a nervous dog, I make sure to take my time and make sure to read how the dog is acting towards me. If any type of emergency happens, I will call the owner and head to the vet. I have always been good with animals specal diets, and making sure that I follow them correctly. I can manage many dogs by either taking each one out for walks one by one, taking them all to the dog park or having a good leash that makes it easy for me to hold many leashes.
