"We have used Pawshake before when we travel. We like the idea of having someone visit our home versus placing our nervous cat in a kitty kennel. I located Johanne using Pawshake and we arranged for a meet to get to know her before our trip. She immediately bonded with our cat and we felt totally comfortable giving her open access to our home while we were away.

"Kate and Rimas were great cat sitters. They responded quickly after the first request to book and gave us constant communication while they were taking care of our cat. Not only did they follow the directions we set for feeding/caring of the pet, were also conscientious of our home and made sure the cat food dishes were cleaned and that scooped litter was removed. They also played with our cat and sent plenty of pictures of her when were away which was greatly appreciated. We would not hesitate to book Kate and Rimas again and gladly recommend them to anyone needing a pet sitter in the area. "

"I had to leave town for a week and had the pleasure of having a pet sitter take care of my three beloved cats while I was away for over a week. Her name is Tanya and she was absolutely incredible! She arrived promptly on time each day and prepared plenty of food and water.

"I cannot say enough good things about Giacomo! From our first meeting, I found him to be exactly the kind of person you want to look after your pets. We were going on a holiday in Portugal for eight days and immediately booked him to cat sit before someone else snapped him up! First, he took the time to meet my two cats and was very attentive when I went through their day to day routine. You could tell he just loves animals. One of our cats requires medication mixed with her food twice daily. When we arrived in Portugal, I received a message from Giacomo that the fob we gave him wasn’t working. He did not panic! Because of the time difference, I was not able to get back to him in time for his first visit. He was very quick thinking and buzzed random people in the building until someone let him in! He was very quick to communicate with us over the next couple of days and we coordinated with a neighbour who he had to contact ahead of each visit to have them meet him and let him in. Needless to say, this was a lot of extra work for him. It took a couple of days to sort things out before we got his fob reactivated. He was so good about it! In his communications, he let us know how sweet our cats were and how much he was genuinely enjoying them. Some days, rather than visiting twice, he would stay and our cats had him around all day. One msg we received said one of them was sitting on his lap for 2-3 hours a day. The other was rolling over so he could rub her belly! As a result, we had absolutely no worries about how they were doing, leaving us to relax and thoroughly enjoy our holiday. He sent a message during his last visit to check to make sure we were arriving on schedule and offered to do additional visits if we were delayed. How responsible and thoughtful! When we returned, our cats were of course happy to see us but for the first few days you could tell they missed Giacomo. He left us with a very high standard of care to live up to! Any animal would be very lucky to have Giacomo look after them. "

"I cannot express enough how wonderful Ivonne was as a catsitter! From the moment I met her, I knew my cats would be in great hands, and she truly exceeded all expectations. My cats absolutely adored her, and it was clear she gave them so much love and attention. She kept me updated with hilarious videos of their antics, which gave me peace of mind and lots of laughs while I was away.
Ivone followed all my instructions to the letter, making sure everything was done exactly as I requested. "We were faced with the dilemma most vacationing cat owners face when traveling. Who do we entrust our pet with while we are gone? Do we disrupt our kitty's life by boarding her in a strange environment or do we leave her at home with someone checking in with her.
Our decision was made easy when we met Zahraa. We contacted her through Pawshake and she came around to our house for a meeting prior to us leaving. We decided to engage her pet visiting services and couldn't have been happier with the results.
Zahraa proved to be reliable, punctual and most importantly genuinely cared for our rather skittish cat. I had no concerns with allowing her access to our house while we were absent as she proved to be trustworthy and her messages with photos of each visit confirmed that she was being conscientious and fulfilling her promises of caring for our cat.
