Hi!

My name is Portia and I LOVE animals. I currently don't have a dog of my own, but I grew up with dogs. I love being outside and keeping active. I am 30 years old, a professional biologist and I live in Mission. I like to walk and run and spend time outside. I live close to a dog park, and Lindsay Park, perfect for dogs! I also run, so if you have a dog that needs that extra bit of exercise, I can make that happen. I can accommodate all kinds of dogs and walk them the appropriate distance for their size, weight, and energy level. I'm available most mornings, evenings and weekends just drop me a line and we can sort something out. The length of walk can vary depending on your dogs needs, but each visit with me lasts 1 hour.

I grew up in Calgary. When I finished school I quickly got a job in environmental consulting and moved around a bit (Vancouver, Edmonton...) but found myself back in Calgary after a few years. I chose to settle in Mission for the beauty of the community and the proximity to urban parks and pathways.

I have two cats of my own and discovered Pawshake when I needed a sitter to look after them while I was away for work. I was so impressed with the caliber of people that I met and am looking for a way to participate myself while also getting to know some of my furry neighbours. Both of my cats have very particular needs so it was important for me to find someone that I could trust and rely on to provide the best care that I could get for them. I understand the stress and importance of finding the right person for your pet. I can offer meet and greets to ensure that your pet and I are a good fit before you commit to a booking.
