When I retired, I took several dog training and canine biology courses in the Algonquin College Veterinary Technical Program. I have been certified by the Fear Free Program as well as by the St. John Ambulance for Pet First Aid. Over the past three years, I have had over a hundred clients and 290 bookings with 5-star reviews on another pet sitting platform. 

We no longer have our own dog because we're away in winter. However, I love walking and boarding dogs. I enjoy meeting new canine personalities and learning how to adjust to their needs.

I aim to provide a calm, low-stress environment for your pet. Your dog will enjoy enrichment activities such as long walks, off leash backyard time, and food puzzles. I use scientifically sound, reward-based methods that positively affect not only the animal’s behavior, but also the underlying emotional state.

My schedule is very flexible; I currently do not have any commitments that would impact my ability to spend quality time with your dog. I am also flexible in case of cancellations.

I have a fully fenced yard that measures approximately 18 metres wide by 10 metres deep. My husband and I live in a quiet neighbourhood that is close to the Experimental Farm where there are many places for wonderful walks.

I will not take your dog to a dog park. I will not introduce your dog to new dogs while I am walking them. I will ensure that their stay is stress free with a lot of outdoor time and a calm environment.

Please note that I usually have a few daycare clients as well as one or two boarders at a time, so dogs will need to be comfortable socializing with other well socialized small and medium sized dogs.

I love stimulating dogs mentally and physically. In addition to long walks, there is room to play fetch in our backyard. If desired, I can also reinforce training to sit and stay on command using treats. I have dog puzzles, snuffle maps, kongs as well as stuffies and balls that provide stimulating activities for your best friend.

For housesitting, I am usually only available on weekends because I have daycare clients. However, I have been known to be enticed for longer stays by a pool or proximity to waterfront or forest.
